pearl jam, the hip, yeah yeah yeahs, wintersleep, beck, the brian jonestown massacre, QOTSA, Kings of leon. and of course many more, but these have dominated the last while.

ive been listening to a lot of instrumental/ambience bands lately, such as: Explosions in the sky, God Is An Astronaut, Boards Of Canada, Mogwai, Do Make Say Think, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver mt. Zion. but usually: Radiohead, Modest mouse, White Stripes, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr., Fall Of Troy, At the Drive-in, Mars Volta, i could go on.

Ive recently been turned on to Wintersleep, so truthfully, thats been all for the last month....but...otherwise... The Hip, Rheostatics, Neil Young, Robert Taylor, City and colour, Broken Social Scene / Kevin Drew, Rush, Sam Roberts, White stripes, Arcade Fire....

Black Mountain
their new album In The Future is spectaular!!!! I'm going to see them for the first time in about 3 hrs. They have a lot of crazy long jams (Bright Lights) and then some short little gems (Wild Wind).
the first song I heard from them was one called Don't Run Our Hearts Around. it immediately gave me a Black Sabbath vibe which blew my mind, but it really isn't indicative of their sound. I'd call them vintage 70's rock with psychedelic undertones.
